Hi, I’m Kshitij Ballal.

I am a Marketing Manager with over nine years of experience navigating the complexities of the B2B landscape. Currently, I work in-house, focusing on the intersection of engineering services and strategic growth.

My career has been spent in the trenches of B2B product and services marketing. I’ve managed everything from global event branding to competitive analysis of engineering R&D giants. I don’t believe in marketing for the sake of noise; I believe in strategies that actually move the needle for complex businesses.

What I’m Interested In

This blog is a space for me to explore the topics that define modern B2B marketing:

  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Moving beyond lead generation to building real relationships with high-value accounts.
  • Analyst Relations: Understanding how to engage with the firms that shape industry perception.
  • The Buyer Journey: Decoding the long, often non-linear path that B2B customers take before making a decision.
  • Sales & Marketing Alignment: Bridging the gap between strategy and execution to ensure “whale hunting” efforts actually succeed.

Why This Blog?

The “Pixelated Compass” is my way of documenting what works (and what doesn’t) in B2B. I prefer to keep things simple and direct. You won’t find much flowery jargon here, just honest takes on business, communication, and technology.

Outside of Work

When I am not refining marketing plans, I am usually looking at how things work under the hood. I have a strong interest in just learning about how stuff works. I also enjoy modding games. I find that the attention to detail needed to troubleshoot a mechanical issue is the same skill required to fix a marketing funnel.
